In southern Italy, including Sicily, Sardinia, and Calabria, heavy rains and gusty winds have led to significant flooding. According to the Department of Civil Protection of Italy, water levels in rivers have risen sharply, causing localized flooding.

Emergency services are on high alert: over the past 24 hours, firefighters have conducted numerous operations to rescue people and animals. In the most affected areas, more than 1,200 rescuers are working, and over 400 units of equipment have been deployed.

In Lipari, the storm has caused flooding of streets and coastal areas. A red alert has been declared in Calabria, Sicily, and Sardinia due to the threat of flooding and landslides.

Civil protection services urge citizens to exercise caution: it is recommended to avoid dangerous areas, not to cross flooded sections, and to strictly follow the instructions of emergency services.
