At the international competition UAE SWAT Challenge 2026, held in Dubai, the teams of Kazakhstan's special forces confidently took first and second places. This was reported by The Astana Times.
The Kazakhstan C team became the absolute winner of the tournament, while the Kazakhstan A team secured the second position in the overall standings. A total of 109 teams from 48 countries participated in the competition, highlighting the high level of the contest.
The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, expressed his congratulations to all participants for their successful performance. As noted by his press secretary Aibek Smadiyarov, the head of state emphasized the "high level of professional, physical, and combat training of the Border Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the National Security Committee, as well as their will to win and patriotic spirit."
Other teams from Kazakhstan also showed commendable results: Kazakhstan B took eighth place, while Kazakhstan D finished twentieth. The women's team Tomiris finished eighteenth in the overall standings, demonstrating the best result among women's units and surpassing many male teams from other countries.
Tokayev noted that the state will provide official rewards for the servicemen, adding that their success has become a source of national pride and confirmation of the high level of training of Kazakhstan's special forces on the international stage, as reported by The Astana Times.
