Aibek Smadiyarov has been appointed as the advisor to the president and press secretary. This is stated in the official decree. The document states: "Smadiyarov Aibek Serikbaevich is appointed as the advisor to the president – press secretary of the President of Kazakhstan. He is relieved of his previous position."
Smadiyarov is a graduate of the Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages named after Ablaikhan. He holds the rank of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Envoy of the II class and speaks several languages, including English and Turkish. Previously, until mid-December 2025, he held the position of Chairman of the Committee for International Information at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after which he was appointed Head of the Domestic Policy Department of the Presidential Administration.
Ruslan Zheldibay has been relieved of his duties as assistant and press secretary to the president. He held this position since September 2025.
