According to meteorologists, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on February 23, 2026, mostly cloudy weather is expected. In the Mongolo-Altai mountain region, snowfall and blizzards are predicted. In the western part of the country, the wind will blow from the southwest, while in other regions it will come from the northwest at a speed of 5-10 meters per second, with some areas experiencing wind speeds of 14-16 meters per second.
Temperature readings in the area of Lake Uvs and the Darhad basin, as well as in the valleys of the Tes and Yeruu rivers, will fluctuate between -20 to -25°C. In the Khangai, Khuvsgul, Khentii, and Zavkhan mountains, as well as at the sources of the Zag-Baidrag, Ider, Eg, Uur, Orkhon, Selenge, Kharaa, Tuul, Terelj, Kherlen, Onon, and Ulz rivers, and in the valleys of the Khalkh and Dornod-Dariganga steppe, temperatures are expected to be around -15 to -20°C. In the southwestern part of the Gobi region, temperatures will reach +1 to +6°C, in the Altai mountains - from -3 to +2°C, in the foothills of the Khangai mountains, as well as in the eastern and northern parts of the Gobi region - from -3 to -8°C, while in other regions temperatures will be -10 to -15°C.
In Ulaanbaatar, variable cloudiness without precipitation is predicted. The wind from the northwest will blow at a speed of 4-9 meters per second, and daytime temperatures will fluctuate between -14 to -16°C.
