A special warning has been issued in most regions of the country due to snowfall, wet snow, strong storms, and frosts. In particular, snowfall is forecasted in the western and central aimags on February 20, in the central, Gobi, and eastern regions on February 21, and in the eastern aimags on February 22.
According to meteorological data, from 8:00 to 20:00 on February 19, 2026, cloudy weather with variable cloudiness is expected in the northwestern part of Mongolia. Snow is also forecasted in the mountainous areas of the Mongol-Altai and Khuvsgul aimags. The southwest wind will blow at a speed of 4-9 meters per second, and in the Altai Mountain region and the Arts-Bogd gorge, its speed may reach 15-17 meters per second.
The air temperature around Lake Uvs and in the valley of the Tes River will be -16...-21°C. In the upper reaches of the Zavkhan and Zag-Baidrag rivers, as well as in the valleys of the Idere and Yeruu rivers, the temperature will range from -7...-12°C. In the mountainous areas of Khangai and Khuvsgul, as well as in the valley of the Yeruu River, it is expected to be -3...-8°C. In the basin of the Great Lakes, the foothills of the Khangai range, and the southern part of the Gobi, the temperature will fluctuate from +8 to +13°C. In the northern Gobi, in the Gobi-Altai range, and on slopes with little snow, the temperature will be +3...+8°C, while in other areas, it is expected to be from +2 to -3°C.
Cloudy weather is also predicted in Ulaanbaatar, but no precipitation is expected. The southwest wind will blow at a speed of 3-8 meters per second, and the air temperature will range from 0 to +2°C.
