On February 13, blizzards and snowfalls are forecasted in the northern regions of the country, while similar conditions are expected in the east on February 14. Overall, further cooling is expected across the country, especially in the mountainous areas of Altai and Gobi, where strong gusts of wind will be observed.
According to the meteorological forecast, from 8:00 to 20:00 on February 12, 2026, cloudy weather will prevail in the country. Snow is expected in the Altai, Khangai, and Khuvsgul mountains, while no precipitation is predicted in other regions. In the western part of the country, the wind will shift direction from southwest to northwest, while in other areas, wind speeds will range from 4 to 9 meters per second, and in the mountainous areas of Altai – from 15 to 17 meters per second.
According to the weather forecast, in the territory of Lake Uvs and the Darhad Basin, as well as in the upper reaches of the Zavkhan River and the Tes River valley, the air temperature will be between -20...-25°C. In the Mongol-Altai, Khuvsgul, and Khangai mountains, as well as in the upper reaches of the Zag-Baidrag River, temperatures will fluctuate from -13 to -18°C. In the Khangai mountains and the valleys of the Orkhon, Selenge, Kharaa, Kherlen, and Khalkh rivers, temperatures are expected to range from -7...-12°C. In the foothills of the Khangai range and the southern part of Gobi, temperatures may reach 0–+5°C, while in the eastern part of the Gobi region, where the snow cover is minimal, temperatures will range from 0 to +5°C, and in other areas – from 0 to -5°C.
As for Ulaanbaatar, cloudy weather is also expected here, but without precipitation. The wind will be from the southwest at a speed of 3-8 meters per second. The air temperature will fluctuate from 0 to -2°C.
