According to the weather forecast, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on February 17, 2026, the eastern aimags will experience variable cloudiness, possible light snowfalls, and thunderstorms, while the rest of the country is expected to have clear weather.
The eastern regions will encounter winds shifting from the west to the northwest, with speeds of 6-11 meters per second, and in some places, it may reach 13-15 meters per second. In other parts of the country, the wind will blow from the west or northwest at speeds of 4-9 meters per second.
According to the forecast, temperatures at Lake Uvs, in the Darhad Depression, as well as in the upper reaches of the Zavkhan River and in the Tes River valley will range from -22 to -27°C. In the Mongol-Altai, Khuvsgul, and Khangaï mountains, as well as in the upper reaches of the Zag-Baidrag River, temperatures will be between -14 and -19°C. In the Khangai mountains and in the valleys of the Orkhon, Selenge, Kharaa, Kherlen, and Khalkh rivers, temperatures are expected to range from -16 to -21°C.
In the southwest of the Gobi region, temperatures will vary from +4 to -1°C. In the Dornod-Darganga steppe and in the valleys of the Tuul, Terelj, Kherlen, and Onon rivers, temperatures will be from -3 to -8°C, while in other regions, they will be between -8 and -13°C.
As for Ulaanbaatar, variable cloudiness without precipitation is also expected. The wind will be from the west at a speed of 3-8 meters per second, and the air temperature will fluctuate between -3 and -5°C, which is 3 degrees higher than the previous day.
