The accident occurred on the 451st kilometer of the R-239 "Kazan — Orenburg" highway at around 4:00 PM. According to preliminary data, the collision involved Toyota and Mazda vehicles.
At the time of the accident, there were five citizens of Tajikistan in the Toyota, while a local resident was driving the Mazda. The driver of the Mazda died at the scene. Three passengers in the Toyota sustained fatal injuries and died before the ambulance arrived.
Two other victims, born in 1999 and 2006, were urgently taken to the intensive care unit of the Abdulinsky Interdistrict Hospital. They were diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries, pelvic and limb fractures, as well as traumatic shock.
The prosecutor of the Orenburg region, Ruslan Medvedev, has instructed to conduct an investigation into this incident. Currently, a preliminary investigation is underway to establish the causes and circumstances of what happened. Investigative activities are ongoing.
