Among the deceased, there were more men — 55.1% (97.5 thousand), while women accounted for 45.9% (81.4 thousand). More than half of all death cases, specifically 54.1%, are attributed to the urban population, while 45.9% are residents of rural areas.
Diseases of the circulatory system remain the leading cause of mortality in Uzbekistan. They account for more than half of all registered cases. In 2025, over 104 thousand people died from cardiovascular diseases. The next most significant causes are neoplasms, respiratory diseases, and other pathologies.
