The Chosun Daily: Kim Jong Un appointed his 13-year-old daughter head of North Korea's nuclear forces

According to sources, Kim Ju Ae, the daughter of Kim Jong Un, is performing the functions of "general director of the missile division." Formally, this role is held by Chang Chang Ha, but it is the leader's daughter who receives reports from generals and can give orders. Notably, during the 9th Congress of the Workers' Party in Pyongyang, she also expressed her views on a number of political issues.

South Korean intelligence presented a report to the parliamentary committee on February 12, indicating that this appointment is seen as a step towards succession. Information about the leader of North Korea having a daughter became known in November 2022, when she was spotted next to her father during the launch of the intercontinental ballistic missile "Hwasong-17," as reported by The Chosun Daily. However, her name was not disclosed at that time.

The name of Kim Jong Un's daughter was first mentioned by Dennis Rodman, the American former NBA basketball player, who visited North Korea in 2013 at the invitation of the North Korean leader. He claimed that the girl's name is Kim Ju Ae, although intelligence data suggests that her name may be Kim Ju Hae.
