
According to the television channel, hundreds of casualties were reported as a result of the attack, and the injured were sent to medical facilities in Islamabad. Additionally, Afghan forces attacked a military facility in Kokal, located in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Hostilities began in the border areas of Pakistan when Afghanistan announced the start of an offensive operation on February 26. In response to these actions, the Pakistani military attacked an Afghan arsenal and then struck targets in Kabul. On the morning of that day, the Afghan Ministry of Defense reported the completion of its operation in Pakistan; however, hostilities soon resumed.
The Ministry of Defense of the Islamic Emirate clarified that airstrikes were directed at a military camp in Nowshera, which is located near Islamabad. As explained by the department, these actions were a response to attacks by Pakistani forces on Kabul and on targets in Kandahar province.
