During the discussions, it became known that last week earthworks began for the "CHP No. 5" project, within which drilling has already started. The main construction works at the site are scheduled for April 1.
In addition, representatives of professional organizations provided information on the progress of the implementation of the "Bayan" power plant project, with a capacity of 660 MW, as well as on the expansion of the electricity distribution network in Ulaanbaatar.
As a result of the meeting, the Prime Minister instructed to prepare a draft resolution that will outline medium-term measures to ensure the reliable operation of the energy sector. This draft is to be presented at a Cabinet meeting within the current month. The instructions concern Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Development Enkhbayar Jadamba, Minister of Energy Chojilsuren Battogtokh, and Minister of Finance Javkhlan Bold.
