During the event, the president also thanked the employees of state structures and airlines who participated in the process of evacuating compatriots.
“Kazakhstan will always stand by each of its citizens, regardless of circumstances and location. This was evident during the pandemic when the state returned thousands of citizens from different corners of the world on special flights. Similar measures were taken in other emergency situations abroad,” noted Tokayev.
He also emphasized that in the event of emergencies within the country, the state did not leave people alone with their problems and provided support to all those in need. The president stressed that the phrase “We do not abandon our own” is not just words, but a fundamental principle of state policy.
“Therefore, this principle is reflected in the draft of the new Constitution, which clearly states: ‘Kazakhstan guarantees the protection of its citizens abroad in accordance with the law.’ All Kazakhstanis should understand: holders of the turquoise passport are always under the protection of their state,” added Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
He emphasized that the strength of our passport is determined by the power of the state, the energy of the people, and the ability to embrace new progressive ideas that arise in modern society.
