The Iranian agency Fars has denied reports of the death of Mansour Khodjasteh, the wife of Ali Khamenei, stating that she is alive despite previous reports.
On March 12, it was announced that, despite rumors of her death, Khodjasteh remained alive. Initial reports of her death turned out to be false.
In early March, media reported that she had sustained serious injuries and fell into a coma as a result of an attack on the Supreme Leader's residence in Tehran. Later, some sources announced her death.
As for Ali Khamenei himself, Iranian state media confirmed his death on February 28 as a result of attacks by the U.S. and Israel on Iranian territory. According to Iranian sources, some members of his family also died in this attack.
