During the meeting, the parties discussed possible directions for developing cooperation in the field of livestock farming between the two countries. This was reported by the Khokimiyat of the Navoi region.
Additionally, under the decree of the President of Uzbekistan, dated February 11 of this year, it is planned to bring 70,000 heads of small cattle from Mongolia to the Navoi region in 2026.

The Navoi region, the largest in central Uzbekistan, borders the Bukhara, Samarkand, Jizzakh, and Kashkadarya regions, as well as the Republic of Karakalpakstan. To the north and northwest, it adjoins the Kyzylkum desert.
The economy of this region is based on mining, chemical, and metallurgical industries, as well as agriculture and transport infrastructure. A free economic zone operates in the Navoi region, created to attract investments and develop high-tech production.
As noted by the head of the Department of Veterinary and Livestock of the region, thanks to the extensive opportunities provided to local farmers, the cattle population has increased to 500,000 heads, and the number of sheep has reached 2.3 million in recent years.
