According to police data, such establishments created conditions that allowed minors to be present in the premises without supervision, and the administrations of some of them did not check the ages of teenagers who were allowed access to 18+ content. This raises concerns, as such actions can negatively impact the moral and psychological development of children and contribute to offenses.
In this regard, comprehensive inspections of all similar institutions have begun in the capital. During the raids, police officers found evidence of possible facilitation of prostitution and immoral activities in several establishments.
The investigative bodies of the Department of Internal Affairs have initiated a criminal case under Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning the facilitation of prostitution and immoral acts. A total of more than 20 such establishments were identified, and during searches, intimate items were found, and cases of minors' presence were recorded.
The Department of Internal Affairs urges citizens who have information about such establishments or facts of involving minors in illegal activities to contact number 102.
The department reminds that owners and managers of such establishments may face punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to seven years with confiscation of property.
