A foreigner decided to conduct an experiment and filmed himself tearing a banknote with a denomination of 50 soms.
On November 25, employees of the Bishkek City Police Department and the Lenin District Police Department were able to identify the man who became the hero of the video, which was actively circulated on social media. In the video, he openly tears the national currency, which, according to representatives of the agency, is a manifestation of disrespect for state symbols and moral norms. In the video itself, the author explains that he wants to find out if he can buy something with half of the banknote. As it turned out, the experiment was successful, but it attracted the attention of law enforcement agencies.
The detained individual is a citizen of another country, born in 2002. He did not have any documents confirming his legal stay in Kyrgyzstan, so he is being prepared for deportation for violating immigration laws.
The City Police Department warns: insulting state symbols and violating immigration regulations may lead to legal consequences.
