Today, around 17:46, a report was received in the duty unit about a possible bomb threat in several large supermarkets in Bishkek.
According to information received from the Main Department of Internal Affairs, the anonymous call was made from a blocked number. The caller reported an allegedly planted bomb in the stores "Narodny," "Globus," "Dostor," and "Spaar," but did not specify which one might contain the explosive device.
These facts were recorded in the log of the Internal Affairs Department of all four districts of the capital, and in connection with this, a preliminary investigation has been initiated.
In response to the received signal, investigative operational groups, patrol police officers, and public safety service employees were promptly engaged, as well as dog handlers with dogs trained to detect explosives.
Canine teams began inspecting retail spaces, storage facilities, and adjacent areas to eliminate any potential threats and detect prohibited items.
Currently, all necessary measures for operational response and verification of information are being carried out. "Additional details will be provided later," the police added.
