The Alamedin District Court made a decision regarding the case of the former Minister of Science and Higher Education Baktyar Saipidinovich Orozov, as reported on December 23 by the press secretary of the Chui Regional Court, Tilek Otorov.

The court found him guilty under Article 193 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Kyrgyz Republic, which pertains to operating vehicles while intoxicated, as well as transferring control to individuals under the influence of alcohol or those without a driving license. As a result, Orozov was deprived of his driving rights for a period of one year.

On December 15, the press service of the President's Administration announced that Orozov was dismissed from his ministerial position for failing to adhere to ethical standards. The decree was signed by President Sadyr Japarov.

On the same day, employees of the Traffic Safety Department of the Chui region reported that around 1 AM on December 15, they stopped a Toyota Camry in the village of Koy-Tash, which was being driven by Orozov.

During the inspection, signs of alcohol intoxication were detected in the driver, which led to his referral for a medical examination at the Central Narcological Department in Bishkek, where alcohol consumption was confirmed.

A protocol was drawn up against Orozov, and his vehicle was placed in a towing lot.
