In a televised address to the nation, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian urged citizens to take to the streets to prevent the distortion of the protesters' demands by radical elements.

According to the Al Mayadeen television channel, the country's leader accused the U.S. and Israel of attempting to destabilize the situation in Iran during the protests.

Masoud Pezeshkian also emphasized the continuation of economic reforms aimed at meeting the initial demands of the protesters. He urged the youth to avoid participating in the riots and noted that society would not accept those who attacked mosques.

According to the human rights organization HRANA, at least 544 people have died as a result of the protests in Iran, including 483 protesters, 47 security personnel, one official, eight minors, and five civilians not involved in the actions. This information was provided by the organization.

HRANA also reports data on 579 other deceased individuals that require further confirmation.

Recent reports indicate that protests have occurred in 585 locations across the country, covering 186 cities and 31 provinces, with the number of detainees exceeding 10,000.

It is worth noting that Iran has been without internet for over 80 hours. Mass protests, triggered by the economic crisis and the decline of the local currency, have been ongoing since late December 2025.
