The incident occurred on the night of February 1 to 2, when the young patient, known by the initials T.S.A. and born in 2024, swallowed a foreign object. The girl's parents initially thought it might be a regular coin and only sought medical help at 11:00 on February 2.
During the gastroscopy, doctors discovered that a large flat battery was lodged in the pharyngeal-esophageal transition. The operation to remove it was performed in collaboration with ENT specialists, and the foreign body was successfully extracted.

However, subsequent examinations revealed serious injuries: the girl was diagnosed with deep chemical burns of II–III degree on both sides of the esophagus. This is a common complication that occurs as a result of tissue contact with batteries, which can cause immediate chemical reactions and lead to severe consequences.
At present, the girl is receiving the necessary medical care, and her condition is under the control of doctors. Specialists strongly recommend that parents seek help immediately in cases of battery ingestion, as time is critical in such situations.
It is worth noting that in January of this year, a 2-year-old child underwent emergency surgery to remove 17 swallowed magnets from a toy at the Osh Regional Children's Clinical Hospital.
