According to information from the regional Department of Internal Affairs, on January 7, as part of the preventive measure "Steering Wheel," police officers stopped a BMW X5 in the area of Shopokov, in the residential area "Novostroyka." The driver, known as I. A., was detected to have the smell of alcohol, after which he was taken to the narcological department in Sokuluk.
During transportation to the medical facility, the driver exhibited aggression, using foul language and applying physical force to the police officer, which resulted in the officer sustaining bodily injuries and damage to his uniform.
The results of the narcological examination showed that I. A. was in a state of alcohol intoxication. The police officer has been assigned a forensic medical examination, with preliminary findings of closed traumatic brain injury and concussion.A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under Article 280 "Hooliganism" of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan. The driver, born in 1993, was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation is ongoing.
