A traffic accident involving a citizen of Kyrgyzstan occurred in Karelia.
According to information provided by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate, the incident happened on February 28 at 10:05 on the 419th kilometer of the A-119 highway, which runs through the Pudozhsky district, at the section leading to the connection with the "Kola" highway.
The 28-year-old driver of the Honda Odyssey, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, did not take into account the road conditions and bad weather, which led to a loss of control over the vehicle. As a result, he crossed into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a Sitrak truck with a Schmitz trailer, driven by a 60-year-old driver.
During the accident, a 28-year-old female passenger of the car, also a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, was injured. The State Traffic Inspectorate noted that at the time of the collision, she was not wearing a seatbelt.
