The traffic accident occurred on February 3 on State Road 67 in Indiana, involving 28-year-old Bekzhan Beishekeev, who, while driving a truck, collided with a passenger van.
According to preliminary data, four people died as a result of this collision, and one was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Currently, Beishekeev is in custody, and local law enforcement agencies are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in the United States and the Consulate General in Chicago are closely monitoring the situation, interacting with American authorities and the company where Beishekeev is employed. They are also taking necessary steps in response to the incident.

It is worth noting that Beishekeev was detained on charges related to this traffic accident, which, according to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), occurred when his truck crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with the van.
As a result of the accident, a family tragically lost their lives: 50-year-old Henry Aiker, 25-year-old Menno Aiker, 19-year-old Paul Aiker, and 23-year-old Simon Giro.
