In Kyrgyzstan, an attempt to illegally import tobacco products was thwarted, as reported by the country's Tax Service.

According to the agency's information, during a check at the "Chon-Kapka" checkpoint, a hidden stash was found in a vehicle, containing 9,500 packs of "Oris" brand cigarettes, which lacked excise stamps and the necessary accompanying documents.

These materials have been handed over to law enforcement agencies for further investigation.

The State Tax Service emphasized that the illegal import and sale of excise goods are violations of the law. Efforts to detect such offenses are ongoing.
