According to information provided by the Tax Service, the inspection revealed about 13,000 units of products being sold without the necessary excise stamps.
Relevant reports were drawn up on-site, and all materials were handed over to law enforcement agencies for further investigation and assessment of legal consequences.
Representatives of the Tax Service reminded that strict penalties are imposed for the sale of unmarked excise goods:
- for the sale of up to 200 units — a fine of 100,000 soms;
- for the sale of more than 200 units — possible imprisonment for up to seven years.
The Tax Service also urged business owners to carefully monitor the presence and authenticity of labeling, and citizens to check the excise stamps on alcoholic products.
For convenience, a service for scanning and manually entering excise stamps is available in the mobile application Salyk.kg. Additionally, the digital labeling of alcoholic and tobacco products in Data Matrix format can be verified through the Teksher application.
