An attempt to illegally transport cattle was thwarted at the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. This was reported by the State Border Service.

This incident occurred on March 12 in the Batken region, near Korgoncho, close to the village of Kara-Bak. During a patrol, border guards noticed three strangers herding three heads of cattle.

After a prompt response, the border guards were able to seize the animals. Although the violators attempted to escape, one of them, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan S.U.K., born in 2010, was detained in the Mazar area.

Currently, the search for the other two participants in this incident is ongoing, with the relevant authorities involved.

The detained young man and the seized cattle were sent to the border service unit for further investigation and processing in accordance with the current legislation of Kyrgyzstan.

The Border Service also reminded that any violations of border regulations and attempts to illegally transport animals and goods across the border entail liability under the laws of the country.
