On February 19, the servicemen of the Leilek Border Detachment prevented the illegal export of small cattle across a section of the state border with Tajikistan, reported the press service of the State Border Service (SBS).

According to the agency's information, the operation was conducted jointly with employees of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) based on received data. As a result, an attempt to export cattle outside of established checkpoints was stopped.

During patrol, a Volkswagen Crafter cargo vehicle was spotted heading toward the border. The driver ignored the stop signals and attempted to flee.

During the pursuit, another vehicle, a SsangYong Rexton Sports, acting in collusion with the truck, obstructed the border forces in an effort to ensure the Volkswagen's passage to the border area.

As a result of coordinated actions by the servicemen, both vehicles were stopped and detained in the village of Dostuk.

Upon inspection of the Volkswagen Crafter, 36 heads of sheep were found, which were being transported without the necessary veterinary and accompanying documents. The estimated value of the detained livestock is about 1 million soms.

Three citizens of Kyrgyzstan from the Batken region have been detained in connection with the illegal transportation case: G.S.K. (born in 1984), T.R.U. (born in 1983), and N.K.K. (born in 1984).

The materials regarding the attempted smuggling have been forwarded to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
