Border guards of Batken detained a resident of the republic while attempting to smuggle 10 calves to a neighboring country.

On February 26, employees of the Batken Border Detachment stopped an attempt to illegally transport livestock across the border.

According to the Border Service of Kyrgyzstan, a man born in 1988 was detained in the village of Ak-Tatyr while driving a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. His vehicle contained 10 calves intended for export to the territory of a neighboring state, which was occurring without regard to official border checkpoints.

The detained individual, as well as the animals, were handed over to the Border Guard Service unit for further processing of the necessary procedural actions.
