According to him, fraudsters actively advertise job opportunities in the UK and Germany, promising salaries in the range of $6,000 to $7,000, which does not correspond to reality.
“Even local residents of these countries do not earn such incomes. Nevertheless, our citizens fall into these traps. In 2025, we received inquiries from 68 people who transferred a total of $110,000 abroad. It is difficult for our law enforcement agencies to identify fraudsters located outside the country. Citizens are advised to contact Interpol. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan has a department that deals with cybercrime. According to the ministry, 78 measures were taken against illegal agencies last year,” noted Ergeshov.

He also emphasized that illegal employment of citizens abroad is subject to both administrative and criminal liability. Fines for legal entities can reach 55,000 soms, while for individuals, it can be 15,000. Organizing illegal migration can result in imprisonment for a period of one to three years.
Ergeshov recommended that citizens not hand over their passports to employers.
“A passport is the property of the state, not private property. If an employer demands a passport, it may indicate labor exploitation or human trafficking. It is important to read every clause of the employment contract carefully, including living conditions, food, salary, contract duration, and methods for resolving labor disputes. One should also be cautious of fraud when legalizing documents, especially when our compatriots act as intermediaries in Russia,” he added.
