For the holiday of Nowruz on March 21, the Kyrgyz diaspora living in Houston (USA) will receive a national yurt as a gift from compatriots in Kyrgyzstan.
As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic, the yurt will be delivered and installed free of charge by representatives of the public fund "Kyrgyz Yurt," specifically by the well-known yurt maker Beyshenbek Jumashaliev and Kubanychbek Baigaziev.
“B. Jumashaliev manufactures national yurts and periodically presents them abroad at various international exhibitions. This time, it was decided to gift a yurt to compatriots for the celebration of Nowruz in Houston, which will help not only strengthen ties with compatriots but also introduce Americans more specifically to Kyrgyz traditional life and lifestyle,” the statement said.
