The study covered 1.5 million academics and about 520,000 employers, and analyzed 19.8 million publications on the Elsevier platform. This data has made QS one of the most authoritative ranking agencies in the world.

This achievement has significantly enhanced the image of OshSU in the region and confirmed the university's compliance with international standards, including participation in indexed publications and the availability of necessary data.

This year, OshSU scored 39.9 points, which is 6 points higher than in the QS Asia-2025 ranking, thanks to improvements in criteria such as academic reputation, employer reputation, the number of foreign faculty members, and the quality of the teaching staff.

According to the results, Osh State University surpassed 79.4% of universities in Asia, while last year this figure was 73.8%.
Additionally, in the QS "Sustainability 2026" ranking, OshSU ranked 1251st for its impact on the environment and society, and 1107th in the management category. Overall, it placed 1501st among all universities, highlighting the high evaluation of the university's activities.

In the QS ranking, which covers 2,000 universities and focuses on sustainability, three universities from Kyrgyzstan were represented.

The QS "Sustainability 2026" ranking analyzes the impact of universities on ecology and society, assessing them across eight key categories that demonstrate the ability of institutions to bring about positive changes for people and the planet. These indicators reflect the degree of attention universities pay to environmental and social issues.

Previously, Osh State University was awarded 4 stars in the international QS Stars ranking, allowing it to be included among the "four-star universities." The university also made its first appearance in the QS World Subject Rankings for Modern Languages, ranking between 301 and 350.
