A woman from Bishkek contacted the editorial office of VB.KG to share the difficult situation involving her husband, who faced a severe allergic reaction after being stung by a wasp. She stated that the private clinic "MEDI," where they sought emergency medical assistance, refused to help them despite the patient's deteriorating condition.

According to the woman, the incident occurred on Tuesday around 7:00 PM when her husband was stung by a wasp. After that, his arm swelled significantly, and the swelling began to rise towards his face, leading to breathing difficulties and lip deformation. The antihistamines taken did not yield any results.

Realizing the threat to his life, the family rushed to the "MEDI" clinic. However, the woman claims that instead of the expected help, they were met with refusal. Clinic staff informed them that they "could do nothing" and advised them to go to a more distant medical facility. She noted that her husband's condition was so critical that he might not survive the trip to another hospital.

Despite the woman's pleas to call a duty doctor to examine her husband, she was denied again. One of the clinic workers even said that he "didn't know who to call."

According to her, the doctor present at the clinic showed no initiative and did not come out to assess the condition of a patient who could suffocate. "Was it really that difficult to step out and look at a person who is risking their life?" the woman questions.

Later, they learned that all medical institutions, regardless of their specialization, are obliged to provide primary assistance in emergency situations, and even if the clinic's profile does not include such patients, the medical staff is required to call a specialist or at least provide initial recommendations.

Interestingly, the first aid to the man was provided by a random visitor who suspected that he was developing Quincke's edema and recommended administering dexamethasone. She contacted a nurse friend who insisted on an urgent injection. After the medication was administered, the patient's condition began to improve. The woman is convinced that if the injection had been given later, "it could have ended tragically."

In her opinion, the medical staff on duty that evening displayed complete negligence and incompetence. She believes that those who refused assistance should be held accountable. Additionally, she pointed out the possibility for the clinic's administration to check the surveillance camera recordings, as the incident occurred in the waiting area and at the entrance.
