Raids organized by the municipal inspection of the mayor's office aimed at combating air pollution continue in Bishkek. Inspection staff checked 83 saunas and baths in the capital to identify and prevent the burning of prohibited materials, according to information provided by the press service of the mayor's office.

As a result of the inspections, it was found that 49 of the checked baths and saunas continue to use solid fuels such as coal and firewood. Eight facilities were switched to gas and electric heating, while the others were closed.

In one private bath located at Orozova Street, 134, the use of fine coal was recorded, which is a violation of the mayor's decree dated October 9, 2025, No. 290, prohibiting the use of bulk solid fuels. A protocol was drawn up against the owner of this bath under part 1 of Article 434 of the Code of Offenses, and explanatory work was also carried out.

In this regard, the municipal inspection reminds the residents of the capital about the importance of adhering to environmental standards and calls for:

• avoiding the use of waste oils, garbage, and other toxic substances for heating;
• not burning grass, leaves, and household waste;
• switching to cleaner types of fuel, such as gas.

It is worth noting that according to the landscaping rules, the burning of materials related to the sewing industry, automotive oils, paints and varnishes, as well as plastic and rubber-containing products (including bottles, cans, car tires, and tubes) is prohibited on the territory of the capital.
