On December 4 at 13:45 local time, Kyrgyzstan experienced an earthquake that was felt by some residents of the country.

According to data from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, the tremors were caused by an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 that occurred in southern Xinjiang, China.

Mobile notifications from Android about earthquakes also reported an event with a magnitude of 4.6, recorded on the same day and time, affecting Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

The epicenter of this seismic event was located 36 km from Talgar, Kazakhstan. In this country, the tremors were felt more strongly, and notifications about seismic activity began to arrive on residents' mobile devices.
