How Prices for Food Products Have Changed in Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan conducted an analysis of food prices, including data from neighboring countries – Russia and Kazakhstan.

As a result of the study, the following price changes were identified:

Situation in Kyrgyzstan:

The price of pasta (spaghetti) increased by 3.1%, similar products (vermicelli) also rose by 3.1%.

Onions became more expensive by 2.8%, potatoes by 1.5%, and bread made from first-grade wheat flour by 1.5%.

First-grade wheat flour (locally produced) increased in price by 1.3%, and eggs by 1.2%.

Unsalted butter (at least 72% fat) rose in price by 0.9%.

Other products, such as pasta (shells) and tandoor bread, increased in price by 0.7%.

Refined sunflower oil went up by 0.3%, and pasteurized milk (fat content 2.5–3.2%) by 0.1%.

Imported first-grade wheat flour also increased in price by 0.1%.

At the same time, carrots decreased in price by 6.2%, and rice and sugar fell by 0.2%.

Kazakhstan:

In this country, the prices for potatoes increased by 1.2%, carrots by 3.8%, and beef also rose by 3.8%.

However, granulated sugar decreased in price by 6.1%.

Russia:

In Russia, first-grade wheat bread became more expensive by 11.5%, onions by 3.2%, and beef by 3.1%.

Unsalted butter (at least 72% fat) increased in price by 2.8%, and refined sunflower oil by 2.7%.

First-grade wheat flour (locally produced) rose in price by 2.5%, carrots by 2.3%, and potatoes by 2.4%.

Eggs increased in price by 2.2%, and pasta (vermicelli) by 3%.

Lamb became more expensive by 2%, rice by 1.8%, and granulated sugar by 1.8%.
