Are 11 days off in January needed in Kyrgyzstan? Voting results
In a recent survey conducted by the editorial team of 24.kg, nearly half of the participants expressed support for increasing the number of days off in January. This data confirms the results of the voting, which can be found here.

According to the collected data, 29% of respondents believe that additional days off would allow for more time spent with family and trips to the regions. At the same time, 18% of survey participants noted that such days off are important for recovering from the difficult year of 2025.

However, 19% of respondents expressed the opinion that days off should be evenly distributed throughout the year. 15% of voters indicated that long holidays could negatively impact the economy and slow down work processes.

Additionally, 8% of participants believe that 11 days off is too many and suggested reducing the number by half. Seven percent of respondents expressed indifference to the issue, noting that the main concern is the uninterrupted operation of transport and medical institutions.
We remind you that according to the Labor Code, non-working public holidays are established in Kyrgyzstan from January 1 to January 7. This year, the authorities proposed to extend the New Year holidays until January 12, but January 8 and 9 will still need to be worked — on Saturday, February 7 and April 25.
