The survey results showed that 577 city residents (19 percent) do not wish to leave Bishkek and demand improvements in the city's environmental situation. At the same time, 147 participants reported that they "have already started packing their things."
Critical opinions were also widespread among the respondents:
— 42 percent (1,232 votes) suggested sending the Deputy Minister to the jailoo;
— 12 percent (365 votes) wondered, "Where do we get such officials from?";
— 12 percent (377 people) admitted that they no longer pay attention to the authorities' statements;
— only 7 percent (223 votes) noted that there is "a grain of truth" in the Deputy Minister's words.
Thus, 93 percent of respondents considered the Minister's suggestion impractical and illogical.
