The Attorney General of the Kyrgyz Republic, Maksat Asanaliev, met with Issa bin Saad Al-Jafali Al-Nuaimi, the Attorney General of Qatar, in the capital of that country, Doha.
According to the press service of the Attorney General's Office, the meeting discussed key aspects of bilateral cooperation in criminal law, as well as measures to combat corruption and transnational crime.
Particular attention was paid to the prospects for signing intergovernmental agreements regarding extradition, the transfer of convicted persons, and mutual legal assistance in criminal matters.
The parties expressed a mutual interest in deepening practical cooperation between the prosecutors' offices of Kyrgyzstan and Qatar.
