According to information from the UN Security Council, there are about 2,000 militants of the ISIS-Khorasan ("Wilayat Khorasan") group operating in Afghanistan. This group is actively recruiting children under the age of 14, including training them to carry out terrorist attacks using suicide bombers.

According to a UN report, most of the commanders in ISIS-Khorasan are Afghan Pashtuns, while many of the rank-and-file militants are from Central Asia. The document indicates that the group aims to carry out major attacks worldwide, increase the number of recruiters, and ensure stable financial flows.

Experts express particular concern about the formation of school groups in some northern areas of Afghanistan and near the border with Pakistan. According to UN data, children in these educational institutions are being prepared to commit terrorist acts through radical ideological indoctrination.

The report also mentions that more than 20 terrorist organizations are operating in Afghanistan, both at the regional and international levels, including "Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan," "Al-Qaeda," the Islamic Movement of Eastern Turkestan, and others. Their activities pose a threat not only to Afghanistan but to the entire region as a whole.

Although representatives of the "Taliban" movement claimed that "ISIS-Khorasan" does not have permanent bases in the country and that their attacks are planned outside its borders, the UN refuted these statements, emphasizing that numerous states regularly confirm the presence of extremist networks in Afghanistan.
