The situation surrounding the sale of the apartment of the People's Artist Larisa Dolina has become the basis for the emergence of several new expressions, including "Dolina's scheme" and four other related terms.
The first use of the phrase "Dolina's scheme" was recorded in the summer of 2024. Subsequently, phrases such as "Dolina's effect" emerged in December 2024, "grandma's scheme" in the summer of 2025, "Dolina's case" in the fall of 2025, and "grandma's option," referring to fraudulent real estate schemes, in December 2025, as explained by experts.
As previously mentioned, the story of the singer's apartment sale caused a wide public outcry. During the investigation, it was revealed that Larisa Dolina had fallen victim to fraudsters, which negatively impacted the good-faith buyer Polina Lurye.
Earlier, the Supreme Court of Russia overturned the decisions of the Khamovnichesky Court and the Moscow Court of Appeals in the case of Larisa Dolina.
During the court hearing, it became clear that the singer refused to provide medical certificates from the psychiatric dispensary, arguing this by her status as a People's Artist of Russia.
Polina Lurye, the buyer of the apartment, filed a lawsuit requesting the forced eviction of the singer from the property. Larisa Dolina's lawyer stated that the refund should be made by the fraudster.
As a result, the court granted Polina Lurye's claim, retaining her ownership rights to the apartment, and the case was sent for a new hearing.
Let us remind you that Larisa Dolina sold her apartment but later claimed that she was pushed into this by fraudsters and turned to the court. The court declared the transaction invalid. Polina Lurye, a mother of many children, was left without housing and without money.
