The suspect has been detained
According to information from the press center of the GKNB, a corruption scheme involving certain officials of the Ministry of Defense was uncovered as a result of joint actions with the Military Prosecutor's Office.
The investigation established that in 2024, an applicant from the national military lyceum, Z.A.E., scored 108 points on the nationwide testing. This result was below the threshold set by the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan, which is 110 points, necessary for admission to higher education institutions. Nevertheless, during the document processing, his test results were forged, showing a score of 129 points, which became the basis for his enrollment.
During operational investigative activities, it was established that the mother of the applicant, J.N.A., through the serviceman K.S.A., made an agreement with Major A.A.A., representing the General Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic, for her son to be admitted to the university. For their services, they received $3,500, and an additional 40,000 soms were handed over to K.S.A. and 45,000 soms were transferred through the RSK bank terminal to Major A.A.A. In total, the amount of the bribe was $4,500.
According to the decision of the judge of the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek, Major A.A.A. was arrested and placed in the pre-trial detention center (SIZO-1) for a period of two months.
