After these discussions, the project will be revised taking into account the feedback received, and the updated version of the general plan will be posted on the city hall's website. Within a week after its publication, the document will be sent for approval to the relevant government agencies. It is expected that the final version of the general plan will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers in mid-January.
Azmat Kadyrov also noted that under current legislation, the old general plan remains in effect until the new one is approved. The deputy head of the main department for urban planning and architecture of the Ministry of Construction, Aziret Akimov, emphasized that the widespread belief that the old general plan will lose its validity on January 1, 2026, is incorrect.
"Until the new general plan is approved, the old one will remain in full force," Akimov added.
