Women turned to Ombudsman Jamila Dzhamanbaeva with complaints
According to the press service of the ombudsman, more than 40 women in the colony expressed a desire to speak with Jamila Dzhamanbaeva during her visit.
They informed the ombudsman that among the hygiene products provided, only household soap is mainly issued, while other items are provided irregularly.
However, women with children are provided with all necessary items.
“Jamila Dzhamanbaeva inspected all the buildings of the institution, including the children's home, medical unit, kitchen, and dormitory. The colony has a children's home where five mothers live with children under three years old, the youngest of whom is only two weeks old. The mothers noted that they are provided with everything they need,” the official statement said.
