At the beginning of the new year, on January 4, the livestock market in the Moscow district of the Chui region reopened, having been temporarily closed earlier.

The village of Belovodskoye has long been the site of a livestock market on Sundays; however, its activities were suspended on December 28, 2022. Local authorities explained this decision by stating that the market, located at Lomonosova Street, 1, did not meet established veterinary and sanitary standards. According to the government resolution dated June 18, 2015, No. 377, the sale of agricultural animals in this area was prohibited.

Despite the ban, residents of the village organized a new livestock market in an open space. In response, on January 4, the district state administration, the Ayil Okmotu Narzan, the veterinary service, and the local department of internal affairs held explanatory talks with the sellers.
Local sellers appealed to the authorities to clarify the reasons for the market's closure. “Why was the livestock market closed? Only local residents trade here. We cannot afford to pay 500 soms for transportation to take sheep and goats to the market in the Sokuluk district. We hope for permission to sell livestock until the new market opens,” they expressed their concerns.
