The authorities previously decided to relocate the market
In Tokmak, there are plans to replace the livestock market with new modern multifunctional structures. This was announced by the city's mayor, Altynbek Ergeshov, during a meeting with local traders.
The livestock market will be moved to a new location further away from residential areas and main roads. This decision is due to the fact that the current location does not meet sanitary, veterinary, and urban planning standards, the official added.
“The area currently occupied by the livestock market has significant potential for the further development of the city. We intend to attract investment, including from foreign investors,” Ergeshov noted.
It is also worth mentioning that earlier the presidential envoy in the Chui region, Azamat Osmonov, expressed criticism regarding the working conditions at the market.
