On December 11, the mayor of Osh, Jenishbek Toktorbaev, conducted an inspection of the city's trading areas and, based on the results of the visit, made the decision to postpone the relocation of the 'Kelechek' market until spring. This is done to avoid creating difficulties for entrepreneurs during the winter period.
During the raid, he visited the new Osh market and familiarized himself with the 'Jibek-Jolu', 'Kelechek', and candy markets. Toktorbaev checked on the construction progress and noted the condition of the infrastructure, after which he instructed the contractors to quickly address the identified shortcomings.
One of the main outcomes of this visit was the official decision on the new date for the relocation of the 'Kelechek' market — it is scheduled for March 1, 2026. This will allow traders to continue their activities without unnecessary difficulties during the winter months.
Additionally, the mayor instructed the responsible services to conduct a legality check on a number of facilities built on the territory of the old airport on Osmonov Street. The inspection will cover large buildings such as the 'Eldorado Grand' restaurant and the 'Megapolis' shopping center.
