The State Administration of the Moscow District has announced the reasons for the temporary closure of the livestock market.

According to information provided by the akimat, the commission under the district administration has decided to temporarily close the livestock market. This is due to the market's non-compliance with the sanitary-veterinary and sanitary-hygienic standards established by the government decree dated June 18, 2015, No. 377, concerning priority veterinary and sanitary requirements for the prevention of animal diseases.

During the inspection of the trading area, the following violations were found:

- insufficient adherence to sanitary standards;

- non-compliance of the conditions for keeping and selling livestock with the established requirements;

- threat to the safety of citizens and the environment.

According to the district administration, by 2026, a land plot is planned to be allocated for the construction of a new municipal livestock market, which will fully comply with all necessary sanitary, veterinary, and technical standards. The new market will provide conditions for the sale of livestock in accordance with sanitary norms.

The Moscow District Administration, in cooperation with relevant services, is monitoring illegal livestock trading and intensifying explanatory work with the population. Citizens are reminded that violations of the legislation will result in measures being taken in accordance with the law.

Residents are urged to show understanding and to conduct livestock trading only in permitted places that meet legal requirements.
