Mirlan Taalaibekov emphasized that such interference negatively affects the moral climate within the team.
In his statement, he highlighted another, in his opinion, "extremely alarming and unacceptable fact." According to him, one of the well-known public figures attempted to influence him by initiating an inspection at the children's rehabilitation center where his mother works, in order to uncover non-existent violations. He condemned this approach as morally unacceptable when personal conflicts extend to families.
“Our family has always been and remains outside any unlawful actions. I am confident that even this inspection will ultimately be beneficial — attention to the center will increase, the conditions for the rehabilitation of children will improve, and any problems, if they exist, will be addressed substantively, rather than in someone’s personal interests. I continue to act openly and within the law. Pressure and attempts to discredit me will not change my approach and will not stop the reforms,” stated the head of the inspection.
It is worth noting that at the session of the Bishkek City Council on December 23 of last year, deputy Kazybek Ergeshov stated that cases of teenage escapes are regularly recorded at the "Akniet" children's center. He also mentioned the presence of hazing and abuse in this institution.
