According to the results of the state language testing, more than half of the applicants demonstrated a level of knowledge above average. This data is reflected in the report of the Center for Assessment in Education and Teaching Methods, prepared based on the results of the nationwide testing of 2025.

A total of 57,305 people participated in this testing.

The report also indicates differences in results depending on the language of the test. Among the applicants who took the external assessment test (ORT) in the Kyrgyz language, most showed a high level or above-average level. In turn, among those who chose the Russian language, the results predominantly fell into the above-average and average categories.

It is important to note that starting from 2024, all applicants are required to pass a test on the knowledge of the state language in order to be eligible for admission to universities. While the test results do not affect the competitive scores, a certificate for the ORT is not issued without successfully passing the test. Last year, 189 participants of the ORT who did not pass the state language test were left without certificates and lost the opportunity to enroll in educational institutions.
